Gary Barbera at Philadelphia Easter Parade
Local Philly car guy and noted philanthropist Gary Barbera has been selling cars in the Philadelphia area for over 30 years and continues to give back to the community that he loves. Whether it is by hosting charity events, sponsoring fundraising initiatives, or being on the front lines helping people in his community, Mr. Barbera is committed to doing what is right for less fortunate children and their families in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas. One of the ways that he does this is with his Gary Barbera Cares organization and by participating in local community events like the annual Easter Parade.
In 2014, the 83rd Annual Easter Promenade & Parade in South Philly featured a Gary Barbera vehicle with Mr. Barbera and his crew. The parade rolled through South Philly from South Street to Head-House Square, where it joined up with the rest of the neighborhood’s Easter festivities. Five-year-old Dominique Guzman won Best Dressed Girl at the parade, netting an award for the Gary Barbera Crew. Riding in the Gary Barbera Vehicle, Miss Pennsylvania Preteen 2013 passed out Easter candy to those along the parade route as well.
No matter what community event is taking place in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas, Mr. Barbera and Gary Barbera Cares continue to give back with time, energy, and financial support. This results in more opportunities for disadvantaged children and their families to focus on the finer things in life, and prepare for a brighter future ahead.
