Gary Barbera, State Rep. Jared Solomon Distribute Free Meal Kits In Northeast Philadelphia thanks to the collaborative efforts of the nonprofit Share Food Program
Gary Barbera said, “We are appreciative and feel privileged to be able to roll up our sleeves to help distribute food box meals so graciously by the Sharefoodprogram.org to our neighbors. It’s a warm, wonderful way to work together locally in the Lovely Lawncrest community.”
Rep. Jared Solomon and his volunteers will be joined by Gary Barbera and his Barbera Cares Division to help continue making the Great Northeast even more Great. This collaboration is for COVID-19 relief for our neighbors addressing food scarcity. Distribution of free meal kits provided by the Share Food Program. St. William’s Church parking lot at 6200 Rising Sun Avenue Philadelphia, PA 19111 beginning at 10:00 A.M. Gary Barbera said, “Anytime State Rep. Jared Solomon calls us, we are there.” This is a document free event and every resident will be warmly welcomed to have a food box while the supplies lasted.
The Share Food Program is a nonprofit local organization serving a network of community organizations engaged in food distribution, education, and advocacy. Last year, Share distributed 35 million pounds of food to 505 volunteer-lead Philadelphia County food pantries. Share’s emergency food relief programs helped over 700,000 low-income individuals each month. As the designated lead agency in Philadelphia for the State Food Purchase Program and the Emergency Food Assistance Program, Share is charged with ensuring that emergency food relief reaches those in greatest need. Food cupboard recipients are among Philadelphia’s most vulnerable citizens: all are low-income, 12% are senior citizens and 39% are children.
