Gary Barbera Co-Supported the 7th Annual Turkey Drive
This Thanksgiving, noted Philadelphia car dealer and philanthropist Gary Barbera co-supported the city’s 7th Annual Turkey Drive, put on by the Strawberry Mansion Neighborhood Action Center. Along with other community leaders, including State Representative Donna Bullock and the Housing Association of Philadelphia’s Mr. Vincent Pinkney, Mr. Barbera and Strawberry Mansion NAC collected and gave away more than 100 turkeys with all the trimmings for Thanksgiving.
Mr. Barbera, who supports numerous charitable efforts in the Greater Delaware Valley (including metro Philadelphia, southeastern Pennsylvania, and southern New Jersey) through his organization Gary Barbera Cares, joined State Representative Bullock to assist in the distribution of turkey dinners to families in Strawberry Mansion and its surrounding communities.
In addition to working with Strawberry Mansion NAC for its 7th Annual Turkey Drive, Mr. Barbera and his organization contributed to 102.9 WMGK-FM’s Annual John DeBella Turkey Drop, which brought in more than 9,400 turkeys for local families in need. The All New Barbera on the Boulevard participated in the event by making a donation against each test drive taken in the month of November. The result was a donation of $3,000 to help support the event.
Mr. Barbera has been a fixture in the Philadelphia area for more than three decades, beginning with Gary Barbera becoming synonymous with the region’s top dealership for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles.
